Kitchen Extensions

If you're like most homeowners, you love your kitchen. It's the heart of the home, where family and friends gather to cook, eat, and socialize. But even the best kitchens can start to feel a little cramped after a while. If your kitchen requires a makeover, why not consider a kitchen extension? A well-designed extension can not only give your kitchen the extra space you need but also add value to your home. Here are three types of extensions to consider.

Type #1: The Conservatory Extension

If you have a bit of extra space in your backyard, building a conservatory is a great way to add an airy, light-filled extension to your kitchen. The best part about conservatories is that they can be used for multiple purposes. In addition to being a great place to host dinner parties or casual gatherings with friends, conservatories can also be used as a playroom for young children or a home office. And because they're built with glass walls and ceilings, conservatories also let in loads of natural light, making them bright and cheerful places to spend time.

Type #2: The single-story extension

If you're looking for a more affordable option, consider building a single-story extension onto your kitchen. This type of extension is ideal if you need extra space for storage or appliances but don't necessarily want to increase the size of your kitchen too much. Single-story extensions can also be designed to seamlessly blend in with the existing style of your home so that they look like they've always been there.

Type #3: The multi-story extension

If you have the budget for it and are looking to make a major impact, adding a second story onto your kitchen could be the perfect solution. Multi-story extensions provide ample space for all your needs while also drastically changing the look and feel of your home from the street. Keep in mind, however, that multi-story extensions will require planning permission from your local council before construction can begin.

With careful planning and execution, you're sure to end up with a beautiful new kitchen that you'll enjoy for years to come.
